Hi,

large Zip-files seems to be a bit of a mess. Having those different options
in commons-compress in the first place is an indication that support for it
varies across different applications.

Can't state much for Excel, but newer versions of LibreOffice are failing
with files which worked fine in older versions. Hopefully this is handled
as regression and fixed again. Do you have a reference for this discussion?

Did you try Zip64Mode "Never"? If files do not become very larger (I think
2gb is a limit here), it could work for you.

Regards... D.
