Hi Martina,

This shouldn't be a problem. Exposing via HTTPS is something that the
container (e.g. Tomcat) is responsible for. Please read the Tomcat
documentation on how to expose an HTTPS connector:

Then, if you want to *ensure* that users can only access Slide over the
HTTPS link then you can add an additional security constraint to your
web.xml:

    <security-constraint>
        <web-resource-collection>
            <web-resource-name>DAV resource</web-resource-name>
            <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
            <http-method>COPY</http-method>
            <http-method>DELETE</http-method>
		etc. etc. etc.
        </web-resource-collection>
        <auth-constraint>
            <role-name>user</role-name>
        </auth-constraint>
        <!-- The important bit! -->
        <user-data-constraint>
            <transport-guarantee>CONFIDENTIAL</transport-guarantee>
        </user-data-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
