There is Slide 2.2pre1in subversion.  I have tried Slide2.2pre1 with Java5 and it works fine.  I haven't had any problems at all.  
I have not tried it with Java 6, though.

I am evaluating Slide as a base for a small project so I'd appreciate
if someone can answer a couple of questions.

1) It has been >2 years since Slide 2.1 came out. I have also noticed
the decline in the mailing list activity. I actually used Slide as the
base of the Document management system I built a couple of years ago
and I remember talks about Slide 2.2 and even 3.0...
So what's the state of the project? Any news on the next release - if any?

2) Has anyone tried to use Slide with Java 6? Java 5? Basically,
what's the latest version of Java SDK that can be used by Slide?
