[Help] Using Slide with exisiting Database-Content

Hello everyone,

I'm working on a project to add webdav functionalities to an intranet
network.

The network has it's own kind-of cms system where users access the documents
through a database.

So, I'm wondering if Slide can be used to look at the existing database so
that webdav features can be used without having to store the data somewhere
within slide?

I wasn't successful finding any good info on that topic.
