I can confirm that the current HEAD gives the following failed tests on
Mac OS-X (JDK 1.5.0):

[junit] Tests run: 1, Failures: 1, Errors: 0, Time elapsed: 7,492 sec
    [junit] [ERROR] TEST
org.apache.jcs.auxiliary.disk.indexed.IndexedDiskCacheOptimizationUnitTest
FAILED
[...]
    [junit] Running
org.apache.jcs.auxiliary.disk.jdbc.JDBCDiskCacheShrinkUnitTest
[junit] Tests run: 3, Failures: 2, Errors: 0, Time elapsed: 15,478 sec
    [junit] [ERROR] TEST
org.apache.jcs.auxiliary.disk.jdbc.JDBCDiskCacheShrinkUnitTest FAILED
