Actually I meant something slightly different.
1. you define your profile in the pom.xml. You add your dependencies there.
2. you create a profiles.xml next to the pom.xml (easiest way is to right click on the "Project Files" project subnode.
3. in that file you add the <activatedProfiles> element and list the id of the profile of choice there.
The IDE should pick everything up and load the correct dependencies. When you want to change your profile, just set a different list of profiles there.
as I said, every build will use these as well..
