Milos, Thanks so much for answering my post. I will try and move up to the
parent (main) project as you suggest. If I can't get that to work either, do
you know of another way within Netbeans to run class files within a maven
project. If I can;t figure this out, we will probably not move to
Netbeans/Maven.  I have tried profiles, but could not get to work.  Do you
know much about them? If so maybe send a snipit of the profile within the
pom and what to run on hte command line. I think I have the profile correct,
but can't seem to get the command line correct to run the profile
