thanks Milos

this seems to be a windows profile problem

i am trying to run netbeans on windows for various unpleasant reasons.. and
it is picking up my ~ as a profile in 'C:\Document and Settings'. This
profile seems unstable and changes name! - i have asked my IT bods why....
and i guess netbeans is having some problem reading/writing configurations
to the correct place

meanwhile i would like to load and start the mevenide modules to use my
local repo at C:\.m2 but i cant get them loaded without the error being
thrown - and therefore i cant redirect them to point where i want the repo
in the netbeans option menu...

it would be good to be able to specify repo and settings locations on
loading ;)

I'll let you know if i get to the bottom of it...
