That's an issue with the fact that we use a maven-embedder that is close to
2.0.4.
The surefire plugin trunk claims that it works with 2.0, but the actual
dependencies make 2.0.6 a prerequisite. I've updated the surefire plugin to
require 2.0.6 from now on. The build should recognize that and fallback to
the last version that works with 2.0.4 (if the plugin is correctly setup,
which is not the case of current surefire however)

The only workaround is to declare a plugin version to be used with the
project or build with external version of maven.
