[mevenide-user] mveneide is more like an island in netbean ?

Hi,

I used maven mainly for dependency management(in eclipse).

Recently, I want to try out netbean 6.0 and install the maven plug in as
well.

To my surprise, the plugin is more like an 'island' running under netbean
than some integration for netbean projects.

Under eclipse, I can add maven to any eclipse project(I used mainly for web)
so I can develop my project just as before but add maven for command line
based stuff or pull in libraries.

This is not true for netbean.

I can create a maven project but that is completely different from the say
web project that netbean created(JSF etc.). Beside, for such a maven
project, I cannot manage custom libraries(where all libraries now need to be
in some kind of maven repository). 

This kind of make it sort of useless. 

What I want is to 'mavenize' existing netbean projects, just like what the
maven plugin for eclipse does, rather than 'a graphical frontend/IDE  to
maven', which is basically what I see what the mavenide for netbean does.
The dependency graph is nice(something I want in the eclipse plugin), so is
the browser.

But for usability, I found the eclipse one is much better.
