[ANN] Retirement of the Maven Stage Plugin and the Maven Verifier Plugin

Hi,

the Maven Stage Plugin and the Maven Verifier Plugin have been retired and
are
no longer maintained. We retired them because there was very little
interest by
and interaction with users over the past years: neither had been released in
over ten years.

There is no final release. The last published versions remain
maven-stage-plugin 1.0 and maven-verifier-plugin 1.1, and both stay
available
from Maven Central, so existing builds that reference them will keep
working.
Their source repositories have been archived and are now read only.

If you would like to continue the development of either plugin, you can
fork it
using another groupId and artifactId. You also need to rename the plugin,
for
example from "maven-stage-plugin" to "stage-maven-plugin", because artifact
ids
with the "maven-" prefix are reserved for the Apache Software Foundation.
Feel free to inform others that you continue working on the plugin in a
different place. You can write a mail to the users mailing list for that.
