build errors

I sent this yesterday to dev@, but not sure if anyone is watching that list.

I was going to start looking at rewriting the M.E.T.A. plugin to be
compatible with Maven2 since it seems to be getting harder to find Maven
1.x these days. It is still available, but seems woefully out of date.

I checked out trunk from svn and like the gump reports, I am unable to
build the fulcrum container project.

I was wondering if anyone is looking into this, or where I should start to
try and tackle fixing this myself. I was more familiar with the old
turbine code (< 2.3) than the fulcrum stuff.
