The Tools counterpart for the Spring integration never saw the light for 
Spring 5.x since although I started it at the time, I never completed 
it, not being a Spring user myself.

So, no, there is no impact on the tools.

But with the help of AI, I can now propose a tools integration for 
Spring 6.x (basically mimicking what they do for Freemarker) in a new 
module, spring6-mvc-tools or alike.
