well, there's Allen Holub's "Bank of Allen" demonstration.  either on
javaworld or developerworks.  years ago.  i guess it's still linked from
his site.

if you look at OO stuff pre-BeanBox, design meant verb oriented methods,
and not passive objects.  since then, it's all get/set.

struts is a prime example of 'action' objects and 'data' objects.  it passes
for OO, but it ain't.

not that there's much chance of righting the ship.  the Bean paradigm 
accretes
lots of liguine.  most java folk don't know any better; they came to the
language after the switch.

by the bye,  Arnold and Stroustrop have voiced similar misgivings.  probably
too late.
