I've created patches for the following bugs, and think they are ready
to be submitted to the code base. If anyone has any feedback on them
before I submit them, please let me know. If there are no objections,
I'll look at committing them next Tuesday.

1573193 Wrong xmlns in docs/cc.html (see patch 1776585)
1690945 ant-cc task doesn't fully support msvc8 without warnings
(see patch 1776565)
1715475 CC, aCC, and xlC compilers don't bid on assembly files (.s)
1775873 Sunpro Forte compiler can't set warning level to default
(see patch 1776490)

I wasn't able to add the patches to some of the bugs because they
aren't assigned to me, and I wasn't the originator of the issue.
What's the process for assigning specific bugs to developers on the
project? Should I send an email to this list in the future requesting
that I be assigned to a particular bug?

On a related note, bug 1731315 looks like an invalid bug that could
probably be closed (the issue appears to be resolved in the current
code base), and bug 1716271 can also be closed (a patch was submitted
to the code base in May (revision 119).

Thanks.

David.
