Want to use new compiler (not mentioned in documentation)

I want to build my application with a compiler which is not mentioned in cctasks documentation. Do I need to add new adaptor to have support for this new compiler or I can extend existing cctasks to use any gcc based compiler? details of compiler: target OS: VxWorks CPU: ARM7 Host: Windows compiler name: ccarm and c++arm Kindly suggest best solution to get my existing code with new compiler.
