New version adapter problems

I have written a new version adapter but I get this error when I try to
use it:  

java.lang.IllegalStateException: exception while getting
com.urbancode.anthill.adapter.DummyVersionAdapter instance: Unable to
create version adapter:
com.urbancode.anthill.adapter.DummyVersionAdapter


The basic premise behind it was a modified version of the
UrbanCodeVersionAdapter that
doesn't actually write the file.  It just make it appear as though it
does.

Has anyone seen this error before?  Or can give me some assistance.
