I may have missed where it said that it would do an update, I did see that it said that it wouldn't erase the working directory after the build. The intent there, was to use this flag to leave the working directory in tact after a build so that it could be examined and debugged against. However, in a more recent patch, we made it so that the cleanup step occurs at the start of every build rather than at the end of the build. This makes checking the debug flag unneccassary.
