David Teare has published a complete introductory tutorial on BEA
dev2dev : "Quick Start Guide to Enterprise AOP with Aspectwerkz 2.0"

The tutorial will lead you thru a sample app using Hibernate, Spring
and Tapestry.
One version is written without AOP and another with AOP to refactor
simple concerns like per request logging and profiling, so that you
can gradually understand the benefits and trade-offs.
