Hi Andreas, Thanks for replying...I have had problems with pointcut expressions, but only parsing errors. I was trying expressions that were not supported, such as the one I wish to use (i.e., execution(* *..*.!toString(..)) In my aspect definition, I use the within(com.bla) because I am only interested in tracing calls of clases of that package. I hope you solve your issues. I still haven't found a way around my problem. I still think it may be done, as I regard it a very simple requirement (to trace all methods except one), I just don't know how. Thanks, Manuel [email protected] wrote: Hello Manuel, because I'm a newbie, too, I don't know the enlightening answer, but just like you, I have problems in formulating a suitable pointcut expression. IÂm using online-weaving and I also tried a pointcut with Âexecution(* *..*.*(..))Â. As a result, I got uncountable errors at runtime concerning the Joinpoint-class itself. Such a global expression seems to cause many recursive hazards. Did you notice anything similar? Actually I wanted to define a pointcut for some functions of an Informix-JDBC-driver. Unfortenately a pointcut according to the API docs of the Informix-driver Âexecution(public * com.informix.jdbc.IfmxStatement.executeQuery(String,..))" didnÂt match. What are you using the Âcom.bla for? Do you do anything comparable? Kind regards, Andreas Viel oder wenig? Schnell oder langsam? Unbegrenzt surfen + telefonieren ohne Zeit- und Volumenbegrenzung?
