so initially I want to run checkstyle from the command line so I downloaded the zip file. On past projects all source was under a single directory and could run checkstyle just fine. Now we are using maven2 and have many, many subprojects like release/proj1/src/main/java/com/... and release/proj2/src/main/java/com...
