RE: Groovy?

We've been looking at Pnuts, BeanShell and Groovy.  My impression thus far
is that Groovy has some good ideas for language syntax (closures) and I like
how they are using Asm to do complete byte-code generation thus providing
good performance.  Groovy is not trying to be dynamic Java, like Beanshell,
so they have less constraints on language syntax.  This can be a positive or
negative, depending on your needs.  Groovy is very immature and not stable
at this point.

Pnuts is much more stable and provides even better performance.

I'd like to see BeanShell provide better performance (maybe by doing more
byte code generation with ASM).
