I am 100% behind ensuring Java language compatibility.The best way to
ensure that any extensions don't break this is expanding the test suite.
Pat has done a great job with the existing tests, but there are still some
areas that could benefit from more tests.

I'll admit my argument isn't exactly logical; it's mostly based on fear -
that
someone will break the Java language compatibility.
