Hi Martin,

Great start - you were the first to complete
the coding exercise! I realize that the
exercise missed a few important points including the format of the
resulting submission, so now I added that. It would help if you
could update your project accordingly. You can find further
details on the http://biojava.org/wiki/Short_coding_exercise page.

Do not forget to write your project plan it is
very important too. I'd
recommend you to keep an eye on the BioJava mailing list
discussions, as you may find some useful information there.

Thanks for your interest in the project and good luck with your
application!

Peter

P.S. I know I can download the source via Google SVN but I would
prefer to have
everything in one place.

Hi,

I've noticed that BioJava up to about version 1.7 had an
org.biojava.bio.proteomics package, which had methods for
isoelectric point and molecular weight calculations for
peptides. I could not find this package in the BioJava 3.0.1
API. I’d like to use these methods and wonder if there are any
equivalent methods available in the latest version of BioJava?

Thank you for your help,

Kind regards,

Peter
