I'm a "use the distro" kind of guy, which means I'm on Java 7 and 8 on the machines I'm working with: Ubuntu 15: java version "1.7.0_91" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.6.3) (7u91-2.6.3-0ubuntu0.15.10.1) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.91-b01, mixed mode) Fedora 23: openjdk version "1.8.0_65" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_65-b17) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.65-b01, mixed mode) I'd vote for Java 7 for distro compatibility, at least for now. _______________________________________________ Biojava-l mailing list - [email protected] http://mailman.open-bio.org/mailman/listinfo/biojava-l
