question about cglib license

Dear Sir or Madam,
We work in the HIS-Institute for Research in Higher Education, a social science research institute comprising a department working on the development of research infrastructure.
We develop an Online Survey System, especially designed for social science research projects. Within the online survey project we used your library cglib published under an Apache license. Now we plan to publish our project under an open source license. We prefer the AGPL 3.
On your project website you say, your library is published as free software, linking to the Apache website (http://cglib.sourceforge.net/ "This library is free software, <http://www.apache.org/foundation/licence-FAQ.html> freely reusable for personal or commercial purposes."). But there we got a little question. Is it published under the current Apache 2.0 license which is compatible with AGPL 3/GPL 3? Or is it published under the Apache 1.0 or 1.1 license which seems to be incompatible with AGPL 3/GPL 3, at least according to the GNU website?

It is the first time we plan to publish open source software and we still struggle a little bit with all the different licenses and their compatibility.

Beside these nitty gritty differences concerning the compatibility of all the different open source licenses (we use 47 external open source licences), would it be ok for your project if we publish our project under an AGPL 3/GPL 3 license comprising your library cglib?
