Hi.
Is this project alive? Last in the archive is a couple promising emails,
but that was 3 months ago.
Looks like a nice application anyhow, I'm installing it atm.
A small suggestion for the docs:
While I am installing it I noticed in the docs that it suggested that I unpacked the .war, edited the web.xml and then repacked to .war to specify where my repo is.
I find it a lot more convenient to put machine specific variables in machine specific files.
Example for Tomcat:
tomcat/conf/server.xml (in the corresponding <Host> block:
<Context path="/chiki" docBase="chiki.war" debug="0">
<Parameter name="repositoryRootDir"
value="/my/chiki/repo"
override="false"/>
</Context>
override=false is very important
So no need to redo the .war-package.
Further this also means you can easily have several instances of Chiki running from the same chiki.war, just add another one with a different Context Path and repositoryRootDir value.
It is also somewhat confusing when users clutter the docs with their questions/problems.
(the 'docs' I refer to is this: http://www.petrotechnics.com:8080/chiki/view.do?nodeId=Dev&contentId=HowToDeployChiki)
Just my 2 cents.
/M
