Problem during build

Hi,
I'm trying to install GNU Classpath on ubuntu Linux.  I downloaded the
classpath0.98 and have run the configuration(./configure).  But when I'm
trying to build (make) the classpath it is throwing dereferencing Pointer
error for all the java files.  Would you please adivice what is missed.
