What about creating javax.sql.*

Hi everybody,

I've just packaged the jdbc2.0 standard extensions from SunTM for
Debian but I'd like to have the same implementation... free!

I'd be glad to make these 14 classes but I'd like to know what I can
do and what I can not (OK I cannot copy the original source code, but
what about the documentation?). These classes are mainly interfaces.

<http://java.sun.com/products/jdbc/jdbc2_0_1-stdext-javadoc/>

An other thing: this class:
<http://java.sun.com/products/jdbc/jdbc2_0_1-stdext-javadoc/javax/sql/XAConnection.html>

needs javax.transaction.xa.XAResource...

So I'll also have to re-write the jta api...

<http://java.sun.com/products/jta/jta-1_0_1B-doc/>
<http://java.sun.com/products/jta/jta-1_0_1B-doc/javax/transaction/xa/XAResource.html>

Can someone tell me if a free implementation already exists? Is the
classpathx project interrested?

Thanks for your help and for your time,
