David Biesack commented on CC-800:
----------------------------------
Hmm, comment added prematurely...
Details:
CruiseControl Dashboard Version: 2.8.4(4553)
JVM version: 19.0-b09
OS Information: Linux 2.6.32-71.el6.x86_64
Shared log folder location: /data/acl/var/local/cc/logs
Shared artifacts folder location: /data/acl/var/local/cc/artifacts
Option to allow force build? Yes
new install of CC 2.8.4, build my config.xml, started CC (standalone, not in Tomcat) on port 8080, JMX on 8000.
The server:8080/cruisecontrol view works fine, shows all active projects, but on server:8080/dashboard *all*
projects have grey "discontinued" icons.
An earlier version running on SunOS did not have this problem
CruiseControl Dashboard Version: 2.8.1(4250)
JVM version: 17.0-b16
OS Information: SunOS 5.10
Shared log folder location: /acl/var/local/cc/logs
Shared artifacts folder location: /acl/var/local/cc/artifacts
Option to allow force build? Yes
but that system is being retired and we're moving everything to RHEL.
The JMX system at server:8000/ is running and appears functions, though I don't use it.

> In 2.7.1, the dashboard represented successful builds with Green indicators. Using 2.7.2, this is no longer the case, the successful builds now show a gray indicator. It also shows that the build was successful but that the build is discontinued. I will attach screenshot.

The modern datacenter depends on network connectivity to access resources
and provide services. The best practices for maximizing a physical server's
connectivity to a physical network are well understood - see how these
rules translate into the virtual world?
