I'm actually working my way through some issues getting CruiseControl to build
with JDK 7 at the moment.  Unless any of the other developers feel strongly
about it I am perfectly happy to wait and test JDK 8 compatibility after the
official release.

To be honest, I think it is far more important that CruiseControl continue to
work with older Java releases than to ensure compatibility with future
releases.  For that reason we're not in any rush to start using new Java 8
language features in CruiseControl yet.
