JtF gave me the thumbs up in a private email, so I just went ahead and manually cherry picked the latest commits from Subversion and merged them into the Git repository.

Also, I created pull request #1 on GitHub (https://github.com/CruiseControl/cruisecontrol/pull/1) for fixing the build from a Git clone.  Unless anyone has a strong opinion I figure that's an appropriate place to task out and discuss the remaining steps.  :)
