Don't run the dashboard server on the build server. Dashboard performance can be affected by build jobs, the dashboard server will be slow when it runs on the same machine as the compiling jobs. I've tried various jvm switches to speed up dashboard performance, the only consistently reliable one has been just to use: CC_OPTS="-server" Does anyone else have any observations on using the dashboard? It is trivial to break out the dashboard from the build server: Set these options to point your dashboard server to a network location for the log files: $JAVA_HOME/bin/java $CC_OPTS -Djavax.management.builder.initial=mx4j.server.MX4JMBeanServerBuilder "-Dcc.library.dir=$LIBDIR" -jar "$LAUNCHER" $@ -jmxport 8000 -webport 80 -rmiport 1099 -Dcc.logdir=cc.logdir=/nfs/qa/cruisecontrol/cruisecontrol-bin-2.7.3/logs -Dcc.artifacts=/nfs/qa/cruisecontrol/cruisecontrol-bin-2.7.3/artifacts -----Original Message----- From: Jeffrey Fredrick [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, February 07, 2009 2:35 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Cruisecontrol-user] java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.NumberFormatException <applause/> :) Jtf On Mon, Feb 2, 2009 at 11:23 AM, Lucas Albers <[email protected]> wrote: > After much further research, > I have resolve the problem by moving my dashboard machine to Linux. > Tada!
