Re: Ant logs for multi thread builds

I don't share the same cruisecontrol directory.
Each machine runs from it's own copy of the cruisecontrol on local disk.

I point all instances of cruisecontrol to the same location of artifacts.dir
and log.dir.

This appears to have the correct results:

<property name="artifacts.dir"
value="z:\cruisecontrol-bin-2.7.3\artifacts\${project.name}" />
<property name="log.dir"
value="z:\cruisecontrol-bin-2.7.3\logs\${project.name}" />

And the linux path on the linux builders.

Subject: Re: [Cruisecontrol-user] Ant logs for multi thread builds

Thanks for the response... I am running multiple cc projects on a single cc
server/process that have no interdependencies, each with a single ant task
to run the build (no parallel ant per build). These projects are all in one
config.xml file and I've increased the cc thread count to 5 so that they can
all build simultaneously on thier own schedules. I'm doing this because I'd
like to limit the number of cc processes/servers running just to keep things
simple and easy to maintain, the threads configuration appears to achieve
that goal.

Just to clarify, cc works perfectly fine... all the logs, build details and
artifacts get stuffed into sub-folders that I've specified and everything is
perfect. The problem is with the dashboard. When I point this server to the
dashboard and there are multiple threads/builds running at the same time,
the log output on the dashboard is mixed up between the projects (aka,
projectA is showing projectB output, and vice versa).

>From what I've been able to gather from the googling is that all of the ant
process write to the same log file ''antBuilderOutput.log" which is stored
in the root of the cc install directory. Apperenatly, the dashboard uses
this log file to get it's output? So far, I haven't found anyway to change
this behavior, or create separate files per project etc. So the situation
I'm in I am very happy with being able to run multiple threads but it pretty
much means I can't use the dashboard to any great extent.

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated...
