Error executing svn log command - CC 2.8.2 on Windows and Mac OS X

I'm running across an error on both Windows and Mac CC servers.  This  
didn't pop up until I had set checkExternals="true" in  
<modificationset><svn

It pulls updates from the repository absolutely fine.  Here's a  
snippet from my config.xml:

<modificationset quietperiod="900">
	<svn localWorkingCopy="checkout/Licenser/" username="MyUserName"  
password="MyPassword" checkExternals="true"/>
</modificationset>

Again, this didn't start happening until I set the checkExternals  
attribute of svn in modificationset to true.

Any ideas what's causing this?  Its happening on both Mac and Windows.
