CVS and Cruisecontrol

All,

I have a couple of questions in regards to 2 different sections of the config.xml file. This is the first time I have set up CVS with CruiseControl so I want to make sure I have the base understanding of the principles.

Current set up:
<modificationset quietperiod="600">
<cvs cvsroot=":pserver:buildmaster:XXXXXX@cvsbuils01:/myeclipse/project/cvs" module="AliasMod" tag="BUILD1234_BRANCH" reallyQuiet="true"/>
</modificationset>


Looking at my process explorer I can see the command Cruisecontrol is executing:

cvs -d :pserver:buildmaster:XXXXXXX@cvsbuilds01:/myeclipse/project/cvs -Q rlog "-d2009-04-02 05:00:00 GMT<2009-04-06 20:55:54 GMT" - BUILD1234_BRANCH AliasMod

>From this command I port it to a test file to see the output:

RCS file: /myeclipse/project/cvs/Common/.classpath,v
head: 1.11

locks: strict
access list:
symbolic names:
            BUILD1200_Version: 1.11
            BUILD1201_Version: 1.11

total revisions: 29;          selected revisions: 0

So now my first question is when this runs does CruiseControl use the dates highlighted to determine the selected versions? And if none of the files have any selected revisions that means nothing has changed?


My second question would be I have 4 cvsroots I look at in the modificationset section each one has a .users file (ultimately the same file content). The syntax is set to buildmaster:[email protected]. Does CruiseControl care what file is used?
