cruisecontrol build Numbering

Hi Folks
     We are using cruisecontrol in a big way as our CI. Our product is
supporting 12 platforms and we are using maven as our build framework

for each platform we have 4 cruisecontrol setups to address the different
stages of the maven build life cycle. Currently build number is assigned by
cruisecontrol and the numbers are different for each cruisecontrol setup.
Its very difficult to map the different cruisecontrol build like

 for e.g  build#100 of test build is mapped to build#70 of deploy build.

I would like to customise my cruisecontrol build number in such a way that
build numbers are common across all the cruisecontrol setups.

Let's say i have a file where i can update my buildnumber and i need to pass
the buildnumber to cruisecontrol so that it assigns that number.  Please let
me know how to achieve this.
