Question about delete and deleteartifact

Greetings

In previous versions of cc I had a cron job to purge out old artifacts. In  
my new cruise installation I see there have been elements added to  
config.xml to do this. My question is this, will the following get rid of  
all logs and artifacts older than 1 day old?

<log>
<delete every="1" unit="DAY" ignoreSuffix="true"/>
<deleteartifacts every="1" unit="DAY"/>
</log>
