Hi Onkar, There's been some talk about refactoring the CC project to use something like Ivey or Maven to manage the dependencies. That should go a long way towards a "lighter" project/source only distro. That said, I don't know if anyone has had a chance to get very far with it. Have at it if you like! Dan Date: Thu, 20 Aug 2009 00:29:45 +0530 Subject: [Cruisecontrol-user] Please provide a source only source archive To: [email protected] Hi, I am planning to package cruisecontrol for Ubuntu/Debian. I am targeting the feature freeze date for next Ubuntu release i.e. 27th August 2009. According to the packaging policy the source should not contain any binary files i.e. .class, .jar files etc. Also the package needs to be built against the libraries available in repositories. The source zip that you provide contains lots of jar files. I believe most of them are the build dependencies. It will be great if you could provide a source only archive with a readme listing the build dependencies. On a side note, I am sure the source only archive will be lot smaller in size (as compared to current 71 MB) and hence will save bandwidth for me when packaging new versions. :-) Regards, Onkar ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
