Hi Dan,

for me the issue is, that the links leads to the correct project, but not the correct build.

The Link in the Mail looks like this:
http://Host/tab/build/detail/project?log=log20091105025929Lbuild.1024

Which leads to the page:
http://Host/tab/build/detail/project as "?log=log20091105025929Lbuild.1024" is thrown away.

That is cool if the person who reads the mail is quick enough, but bad if another build ran between the mail send and the reader looking for the log.

The Link I would need to have is:
http://Host/tab/build/detail/project/20091105025929

Which would lead to the page of the build associated with the Mail, regardless of what happened in the meantime.

So in short: The Identifier for the log file / the page for the build in question needs to be formatted in dashboard style.

Regards
Paul

Just to clarify this issue -> I found a config I was using with the same
value you mentioned for
buildresultsurl="http://<hostname>:8080/dashboard/tab/build/det
ail/${project.name}

in my <htmlemail> plugin config, and it works fine: The link in the
resulting email finds the dashboard build detail page correctly.

So is the real problem related the way the link looks (format), rather
than that the link does not work?

Dan

Hi Davy, Dan

I (as some other people) am looking for the same thing for quite a while
now. If you find a solution, please post!

Thanks
Paul

Hi Davy,

dashboardbuildresultsurl seems reasonalble. You may also want to have a
look at LinkEmailPublisher.

Hello,

Is it possible to get the link of the detailed dashboard result instead
of the detailed JSP result in the emails that are sent by Cruisecontrol?

If the email property is set like
buildresultsurl="http://cruisecontrol.local:8080/dashboard/tab/build/det
ail/${project.name}", the links which is seen in emails is the JSP link
as below for one result:
http://cruisecontrol.local:8080/dashboard/tab/build/detail/projectname?l
og=log20091028183319

The link I would like to have is:
http://cruisecontrol.local:8080/dashboard/tab/build/detail/projectname/2
0091028183319

Is it possible? If not, what do you think is the best way? Implement a
dashboardbuildresultsurl property?

Thanks,
Davy
