Running a Windows Server 2003 VMware image, the CruiseControl 2.8.4 Windows service starts up just fine on one instance but exits *without error* on another. Exact same wrapper.conf, config.xml, tool versions, etc. (since both systems came from same the VM image). With DEBUG logging enabled, here are some excerpts that seem relevant. (Attachment of full message log made message too large. Will provide if useful.) DEBUG | wrapper | 2010/12/15 14:50:40 | JVM exited normally. STATUS | wrapper | 2010/12/15 14:50:41 | <-- Wrapper Stopped If I leave my wrapper.conf and dashboard.xml files in place but revert to the default install config.xml, it runs fine. But if I switch to my custom config.xml, which simply sets a few properties and imports my real config.xml from my projects' home directory, the service exits. But the exact same config.xml files run fine from the command-line batch file. I've tried reinstalling CC and the service multiple times, and this behavior is consistent each time. Again, this exact configuration works fine on another instance of the VM image. Only difference should be the IP address of the instances (and their network environments). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lotusphere 2011 Register now for Lotusphere 2011 and learn how to connect the dots, take your collaborative environment to the next level, and enter the era of Social Business. http://p.sf.net/sfu/lotusphere-d2d
