Re: problem while building cruise control

Dear Dan

Now I have following java (after installing jdk-6u25-linux-x64.bin) with
previous ant and cruisecontrol

init:
     [echo] Java: 1.6.0_25 (Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM)
     [echo]    in /opt/jdk/jre
     [echo] Ant: Apache Ant version 1.8.0 compiled on February 1 2010
     [echo]    in /opt/ant
     [echo] CruiseControl: 2.8.4
     [echo]       

But the result is exactly same as before. Nothing new with result while
building cruisecontrol
Do you have another suggestion or idea to make BUILD SUCCESSFUL

Path for java in /etc/profile is like this
PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin:/usr/local/jdk/bin


I am using src distribution  because in site it is written as follows

This Binary Distribution is a trimmed down version of the Source
Distribution. It is fully functional and intended to work with a sample
project - the game Connect Four - "out of the box".

Would binary distribution work with my own project??
Can you please suggest and give idea to cruisecontrol BUILD SUCCESSFUL

A few more ideas:

1. Something does not seem correct regarding your java versions.
"java_ee_sdk-6u2-jdk-linux.sh" sounds like EnterpriseEdition (not the 
jdk). Also, it looks like version 6u2 (not 6u25 as your build prints out).

2. You might have only the jre available in your /opt/java/jre. (I doubt 
it, but just in case, it might help if you try building with a full 
jdk.) Where is the program "javac" found on your machine?

3. One other thought: You don't need to build CruiseControl your self. 
The binary distribution works just fine as it is. Just setup your own 
config.xml and it will run.


Just to rule out surprises about which jdk/ant/whatever is in use, you 
might also try manually installing a jdk (and maybe even ant) into sub 
dirs in your own home dir, and use those to try building. (The OS 
package installed tools are great, until you don't know which ones are 
being used...)
