I sent this request for help on 9/12/2011 and so far have received no answer. However I have solved the issue on my own by downloading the source, and troubleshooting from there - The root cause of the PVCS failing was that the PVCS executable was in a path with an embedded space - e.g. "Program Files". Once I moved my pvcs exes into a path with no spaces, no problems occurred - so am I the first person to use CruiseControl.net with executables in "Program Files"? I also note some other pvcs issues: 1) The actual get command only gets the files that have changed (vs. all files recursively in the source tree) - so how do I "seed" the work directory in the first place (other than a manual copy) 2) If the overall work directory for cruise control is different from the pvcs work directory, nothing automatically copies files from the pvcs work dir to the build work dir 3) My PVCS repository is on a network drive that is mapped to a drive letter. Other than adding an explicit "net use" command to the pvcs cmd/batch files that cruise control generates to execute the pvcs commands to use this drive letter, is there a better way to do this? Sent: Monday, September 12, 2011 12:36 PM To: '[email protected]' Subject: PVCS Get failing I've downloaded the latest build of Cruise Control .net. I have successfully used it with subversion, but I am having problems with PVCS. The PVCS command to get a log of changes works fine, but then the get itself fails with "Illegal characters in path" - I don't know what path is at issue... I'm really stuck and any help would be appreciated!
