No Modifications after failed build

This has happened a couple of times.  The first time we build a project in CruiseControl it fails due to a locked CVS password. (Lock password is unrelated to CruiseControl)  We then unlock the account and the project builds successfully.  The only problem is the build Results page for the successful build does not show any Modifications.  (Project that do successfully build on the first try do show modifications).  I am guessing this is because it is looking for modifications that happened between the current time and the time of the last failed build.  Is that correct?  Is there any way to get it to ignore the time of the last failed build and only use successful build times? 

 

Any details on how the modification are determine would be helpful.  I did not find anything on the CruiseControl site but that could be because this is more of a CVS thing than a CruiseControl thing.
