Can't test it right now, but I think when I wrote a similar function, I didn't have to convert the
date. But I'm not sure.
Indeed, SVN can handle quite an amount of different date formats -
http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.0/ch03s03.html#svn-ch-3-sect-3.3 - and you may have luck that it
is supported out of the box.
