New Project Recommendations

Good morning all,

I am starting a new project this morning and would *very* much like to use 
Middlegen out of the gate. I am *very* confused as to where to do to get a 
stable version however.

Could someone please let me know:

- Download location (SF seems out of date)
- Else CVS location (From codehaus doesn't compile.)

Any other information for a new project would be much appreciated.
