The second ObjectWeb Consortium conference will be held in Versailles (near Paris, France) on November 28 and 29, 2002 at INRIA Rocquencourt. The ObjectWeb Consortium is an open source software community created at the end of 1999. Its goal is the development of open source distributed middleware, in the form of components following a global coherent architecture. Since February 2002, ObjectWeb is organized as an open international Consortium hosted by INRIA (French National Institute For Research In Computer Science and Control). Program of the conference: * 28 November 2002: - ObjectWeb status and projects overview. - Use cases presentations: application developers or user presentations of operational applications. * 29 November 2002: - ObjectWeb technical perspectives: platform users (J2EE 1.4, CCM, OSGI, ...) and developers perspectives (persistence (including JDO), Fractal component model, ASM and Kilim frameworks, ...). - Enhydra.org initiative presentation (Enhydra Application Server, XMLC, ...), perspectives and potential synergy with ObjectWeb projects. - Technical round table and discussions. In parallel, the following will take place during the two days: - demonstrations of ObjectWeb projects and related products, - tutorials and developer's sessions (OSGI, JOnAS, Enhydra, Transactional Web Services). The conference is free for all ObjectWeb Consortium members. For non members, the subscription fees (payable at the registration desk) are 50 Euros per day.
