RE: java.lang.IllegalStateException

2 things.

1.  1.4.1_03 is now out.  I'd suggest an upgrade.

2.  I'd move to the 1.2.0 release if you can.  Things were in a lot of flux 
for a while there.  Even though it may have nothing to do with the current 
problem, it would be wise to upgrade.  The basic structure of Barracuda is 
much more stable now.
