Precisely my sentiment. When we first created BTable, I thought it was going
to be a very important component. Later we came up with the idea of
BTemplate, and now I'd be hard pressed to think of a situation where BTable
would actually be _more_ suitable than BTemplate.

BTemplate is really so flexible, that the need for custom components is
greatly diminished, which is a good thing in my mind (even in Swing, you
want really want to be _using_ components, not _creating_ them...if a
component framework is well designed, the need to create low-level
components should be pretty rare. It is in Swing, and I think it is here in
Barracuda too. BTemplate makes that possible.)

With all that in mind, there's nothing that prevents you from building
custom components (another sign of a good framework, imho...it doesn't lock
you into to any one way of doing things). So the gist of my response is "why
wouldn't you just use BTemplate (but if you don't want to then you can still
create a custom component if you desire".

Hope that helps,
Christian
