Hi Roger,

I don't think we've ever actually announced it here, but I think its a great
idea. We really need to put together an official list of places to notify
when a new release is available. Which raises an interesting
possibility...is there anyone who would be interested in becoming the
offical Barracuda "Press Release" person? I've done this in the past, but my
time is real limited right now...its not hard to do, but it might take a bit
of time to get on top of it. I'd be happy to help craft the
verbiage...what's really needed is someone to do some legwork and figure out
how to "spread the news" to interested parties.

Here's an old announcement that could probably be tweaked for an
announcement...
------------------------
Hi folks,

Just a brief announcement to let you know that Barracuda 1.[xx] is now
available at http://barracuda.enhydra.org. If you never work with Servlets,
JSPs, XML or DOM, or if you aren't interested in frameworks that make it
easier to build web-applications, delete this email now.

For those of you who are still reading and wonder "What the heck is
Barracuda?", its an open source MVC presentation framework that defines a
powerful component/event model for building webapps. If that sounds remotely
interesting, you can learn more here:

As always, comments and feedback welcome.

Enjoy!
Christian
